Stock Market - Business Or Gambling?

 Stock Market, Share Market...

Are you familiar with this term?

If yes, then honestly tell me, what comes to your mind when you hear these words?

Business, Side business, Gambling, or just  Timepass... something must come to your mind, right?

Believe me, many of us, perhaps even you, have limited the definition of the stock market to a narrow perspective in our minds.

So, is the introduction to the stock market only limited to these four words?

If you Google it, you'll find all the information about the stock market, but if you ask someone, each person will have a different opinion, a different mindset, and a different perspective. Right?

Calling the stock market simply a business, considering it like a business, and truly understanding and adopting it as a business — there is a huge difference between these things, Agree?

Many people may think of the stock market as a business, but is just thinking and believing it's a business enough?

Just like you handle any other business, your approach to it, the level of dedication you have, is your mindset towards the stock market the same?

Now, let’s talk about those who consider the stock market as gambling.

Many people think of the stock market as gambling, a way to pass time, yet they still invest and trade here.

Well, there must be some reason behind this mindset, right?

I have one question for them, for their mentality, for their thinking. I have a question for those who never stop pointing out the flaws of the stock market, yet continue to trade and invest here...

If you don’t trust the stock market, if you don’t have faith in the place where you are investing your money, and your perspective is crystal clear... gambling, gambling, and only gambling... then how do you expect to find fixed income here? Is this kind of thinking right?

Whether the stock market is a business or gambling depends on your thinking, your perspective, and the way you approach it.

How many businesses do you know where you can start with a minimal amount, say even ?100?

How many businesses do you know that you can start with just 1 or 2 days of setup, without needing millions or a large establishment?

How many businesses do you know where you don’t have to worry about competition, changing trends, theft, warehouses, labor, insurance, or maintenance?

How many businesses do you know that you can operate from the comfort of your home, with just your mobile or laptop?

How many businesses do you know that require only 6-7 hours a day and can be done 5 days a week?

How many businesses do you know that you were able to operate from the comfort of home during the COVID-19 lockdown?

The answers to all these questions lead you to a legal option like the stock market; all that is needed is the right thinking and mindset.

Remember the COVID-19 lockdown when the most number of demat accounts were opened, and millions of traders and investors entered the stock market.

Due to the lockdown, everyone had time, and the stock market was the only investment option that could be done comfortably online. Right?

Even if it was out of necessity, everyone looked at it from the perspective of a business and adopted it. Most of the time was spent learning, understanding, and investing in the stock market. In other words, the priority was the stock market. The results were favorable, and the stock market provided the highest returns during that period.

As time passed, priorities began to shift, which is natural. It's true that we can't give the stock market all our time, and for most people, it is not a priority. But one truth is that the money you invest here is your hard-earned money, so you should give some time to it.

Today, we live in the age of online technology, everyone has a mobile, and everyone uses it extensively. So, spend a little time understanding the stock market, your stocks, and your investments. Don’t blindly follow anyone, as everyone has different risk tolerance. You should develop your thinking and mindset accordingly.

The money is yours, so you should invest your time in it.

The conclusion is that if you consider it a business, it requires a lot of dedication, and if you think of it as gambling, don't expect a fixed income from it.

In the stock market, the right mindset and the right thinking play a significant role. Your perspective on the stock market determines everything.
